From Baptisms to Goats to TV-Computer

Yesterday, was a busy day! First, Sebastian and I went to our friend Jeannine's baptism. I would just like to say congratulations and it was absolutely wonderful to watch and be a part of! I am so proud of her!

Then we went to my cousin Trina's house where we played with goats, kitties and doggies. The pictures will show you our adventure.
This is Jazzy, the little wiener dog, playing with a barn cat.
Sebastian holding out Jazzy for the camera. So cute!
Sebastian playing with the goats and Jemma, the huge goat guarding dog.
Jemma acts vicious but she's so loving!
We thought it was funny that the goats liked to stay in  a huddle but when Sebastian walked through them, it was like parting a crowd! But then they formed into their huddle again!
We like goats! Well, animals in general!
Sebastian playing with Jazzy inside.

Once we were home again, Sebastian decided that he was going to make the TV into a huge computer screen! He bought a wireless mouse and keyboard and the appropriate wire and now I can play Sims or write this blog from the TV! Yay! I thought that was a pretty good idea. I never would have thought of it!

It was sad that for once he had a day off and it went by so quickly but I guess that's what happens when your having fun!

Nemo's Adventure and Using the Fryer!

As you probably already know, Nemo is an inside kitty. He is absolutly NOT allowed to go outside. But after a few days of trying to escape, Sebastian and I decided to put Nemo on his kitty leash and harness and take Nemo outside! He loved it! He rolled in the sun, ate grass and hissed at everything!

Sebastian and I also got to use his frier today! We made Steak Fingers, Sweet Potato Wedges, Regular Potato Wedges, and Coconut Shrimp! We did have broccoli to go along with all the fried goodness but the broccoli just got steamed.

Finding Nemo (Not talking about the movie!)

In case this looks familiar, I posted this on my old blog and I felt like posting it on this one because I think everyone and anyone needs to know about Nemo, my precious baby kitty (haha)!

I know the title says that I won't be talk about the movie Finding Nemo, but I do have to say, the movie is part of this story. BUT it is not the main part! The part it has in this story is the fact that, Finding Nemo (the movie) is my FAVORITE movie of all time! But 3 years ago, Finding Nemo became more than just a movie to me. It became, finding Nemo! (the lower case f in finding is important!) An unbreakable bond started 3 years ago, and it still procedes today. The story of "finding Nemo" starts here: On a summer day in 2008, my grandma had found a bunch of new born kittens and their mommy under her porch! They were so cute and not even able to open their eyes yet! A couple weeks later, the mommy cat started taking her babies away to the woods behind my grandmas house and I thought she took them all away! But then my dad told me there was still 1 little kitten left under the porch and if I wanted him, I better get him before she did! So I tucked my fear of spiders and spider webs in the back of my mind and crawled under that porch to get that tiny little kitten! I snatched him up and held him and snuggled him until he stopped crying out for his momma. Once he fell asleep in my arms, I then started to think of names I could name the little guy. At first I thought, Casper was a good name. But then I thought of THE name I would name that cute little ball of fur! NEMO! I named him Nemo! Finding Nemo that summer made it one of the best summers I ever had. Now a days, Nemo and I will cuddle up on the couch and watch the movie, Finding Nemo together and on a random note, sometimes we even have meow-wars. (Don't ask!) So, that was the story of how I got to experience finding Nemo! Not the movie!

Here are some pictures of Nemo and me!
He loves kisses from his human mommy!

Happy Birthday Dad!

I would like to wish my Dad a Happy Birthday today!  My dad has been with me ever since I was little. He may not be related to me by blood but he might as well be because he stuck around and raised me and gave me everything I needed. We may not be that close recently but I hope one day that me moving out and different things can get put in the past so that we can move on. I love my dad, no matter what. I hope he knows that and has no doubts. Here is a collage of pictures in celebration!

This is  my dad and my mom. I took this picture when I was 4 years old!
This is all of us at Kinzua damn.

Fun at the Park

Yesterday, Sebastian, Nyke, Grandma, Papa and I went to Gravel Pit park to meet my mom for lunch. (She works directly across from it.) Even though Sebastian and I are 18 years young, we still love playing in parks and such! Here are some pictures that are rather interesting:

We like the teeter totter (lol)

Like I said, these pictures are interesting!

We love that turtle.

He was just jumping off the the turtle!

He's flying!

Personally, I LOVE this pic. It looks the turtle is going to eat me!
It's obvious we had a lot of fun!

By the way for anyone that read my post titled, Dear Backyard, here is a picture of me and Geshla playing in the snow together!(I couldn't find one of when we played in the leaves. At least I have it on home video though!)

Am I cute or what?! haha

I haven't blogged in forever!

I think it's been about 2 week since I last posted something! So many different things have been going on and the nice weather has definitely kept me away from electronics more. I absolutely am loving this weather (except the random couple days where it was cold)!
So you are probably wondering what has happened in the last couple weeks that I have been absent!?
Well...

1. Nibbles has gotten spayed and she has to wear a cone to keep her from chewing her stitches out (had to take her back to the vet to get staples put in) but she's doing okay now. (Don't tell but we sometimes take off the cone when we are home and watch her so she can have a break from the stupid thing!)

2. I got new window clings! Yay! (FYI: I love window clings!)

3. I heard my sperm donor's (Wes's) voice for the first time ever. It was very strange picking up the phone and hearing "Hello, this is your father." because 1. You're not my father, Nick Dobruk is, and 2. you chose drugs over me. I was actually a little shaken up by it and I'm not really sure why.

4. Zazzamarandabo died. Zaz (for short) was my mouse. She was the best mouse ever and I know this probably sounds silly to you but I actually cried hysterically after Sebastian told me she died. I love all of my pets very much, even a little ole mouse.

5. I'm STILL waiting on my birth certificate to come in the mail so that I can get a S.S. card then I can get an I.D., THEN I can start working at Giant Eagle. God bless them for being to patient. They call every week to see if I have my stuff yet and when I say "No, I'm so sorry!" they repeat, "It's okay! It's okay! No worries!".

6. I biked completely around the Peninsula for the first time EVER with Sebastian! It was so much fun and it made me feel real accomplished because honestly, I didn't think I could do it. We even packed a lunch, strapped it to Sebastian's bike and grilled ourselves a nice meal after about 3/4 of the way done!
Me in front of one of the ponds.

Grillin'!

I wanted to go swimming so bad! But I knew that the water was only about 40!!

7. Sebastian received a job at Mercyhurst college being a dishwasher but will move up to better (cooking) positions quick because the people that interviewed him really liked him and his "work ethic"! I am so excited and happy for him, he will get real good health insurance, a raise every year AND half offMercyhurst tuition!!!! He will go to college in the Fall to their culinary program they have based at the Northeast campus. I AM SO PROUD!

8. And last but not least, got to go to Grove City with the best neighbors ever! You know who you are!

So, there you have it! Ah, it felt good to type again!

Riding Bikes With Grandma Again!

Grandma got a new bike today! I am so excited to start biking again with Grandma and Papa! When I was little, around 8 or 9, Grandma, Papa and I would go to Presque Isle to bike on the sidewalk trails they have there. I missed it when we stopped and I am so excited that we will be able to do it again! YAY!

Dear Backyard

You have brought me so much peace throughout the years, so much fun and and so many laughs. You have hosted parties that brought family together and you have been a playground for so many children. Do you remember me when I was a little girl? Do you remember my mom? Do you remember that she planted those maple trees for you? They have grown so tall in the past 30+ years. Do you remember my Papa building that swing set for me so many years ago? Do you remember when my Paapa (my great grandpa) use to push me in my baby swing and how he would sing to me? I do. I remember all those things and more. Do you remember me as a baby that couldn't even walk yet, crawling around in your trees' Fall leaves? Do you remember me and Geeshla, the dog, playing together? You probably know this but Geeshla died when I was about 3. She was a good dog, I wish I could have known her better. Do you remember all the times friends and family would have water ballon fights? Do you remember all the times we would play badminton? We couldn't have done with out you. Backyard, you really do mean a lot to me. Most of my childhood existed with you and in the house that you hold. I had to leave when I was around 3 but almost every other day I still saw you. Mom and Dad worked, so I was left in Grandma and Papa's (your owners) care. And I came back, didn't I? Do you still remember all the picnic lunches we would have outside? Remember when you once held a pool? I miss that pool. We would splash so much water onto you, I don't know how there was any left inside of it at the end of the day. Do you remember me and my cousins always getting trouble for splashing too much? I do. I will always remember everything you did for me. No matter what happens, even when we will move away one day whether it be soon or far into the future, I will watch my home movies and see you and all the memories you were part of. You were and still are so peaceful. As I sit here typing, I see you and all the wonderful memories like a flashback going through my mind. One day when you are not mine anymore, I will miss you deeply.

Today Was a Good Day

I am ending today feeling very accomplished. In the time frame of today (March 9th) I have managed to make a breakfast pizza for lunch (homemade), score a job from Giant Eagle, go grocery shopping, and peel, slice, dice, and chop veggies and meat to be stored in the freezer(something in which I have been meaning to do).

I was completely surprised that I got the job at Giant Eagle because that was my first interview and they decided to hire me on the spot! I like to think that it's because I am so charming but I really think they decided to hire me because they really need people for the new Giant Eagle they are building and I asked to work in the prepared food section. Either way it's still awesome! I don't know when I will start working but I do know that I am excited to start!

I am also happy about today because my table now looks like the most healthiest table ever. Well, besides the Frosted Flakes and Apple Jacks (haha).

Yep, today was a winner. I believe I am blessed.

Drop A Pebble In The Water

Here's a poem of inspiration for the day.

Drop A Pebble In The Water
Drop a pebble in the water, just a splash, and it’s gone;
But there’s half a hundred ripples circling on and on and on,
Spreading, spreading from the center, flowing on out to sea.
And there is no way of telling where the end is going to be.
Drop a pebble in the water; in a minute you will forget,
But there’s little waves a-flowing and there’s ripples circling yet,
And those little waves a-flowing to a great big wave have grown;
You’ve disturbed a mighty river just by dropping in a stone.
Drop an unkind word, or careless: in a minute it is gone;
But there’s half a hundred ripples circling on and on and on,
They keep spreading, spreading, spreading from the center as they go,
And there is no way to stop them, once you’ve started the flow.
Drop an unkind word, or careless: in a minute you forget;
But there’s little waves a-flowing, and there’s ripples circling yet.
And perhaps in some sad heart a mighty wave of tears you’ve stirred,
And disturbed a life that was happy where you dropped that unkind word.
Drop a word of cheer and kindness: just a flash and it is gone;
But there is half a hundred ripples circling on and on and on,
Bearing hope and joy and comfort on each splashing, dashing wave,
Till you wouldn’t believe the volume of the one kind word you gave.
Drop a word of cheer and kindness: in a minute you will forget;
But there’s gladness still a –swelling, and there’s joy circling yet.
And you’ve rolled a wave of comfort whose sweet music can be heard,
Over miles and miles of water just by dropping one kind word.
~~James W. Foley~~

I found this poem amazing and thought that it should be shared. I know I am going to remember this poem and its word for the rest of my life.

  • Did the laundry.
  • Tested out the new Tide Pod things and found that they really do work! Yay!
  • Earned over 1,200,000 points on Bejeweled in Butterfly mode & saved 234 butterflies.
  • Remembered to put mandarin oranges in my salad for lunch!

Failures of the day:
  • Didn't sweep any of the floors.
  • Forgot to wash the socks I left half-way under the couch. (I was known for that when I lived at home, huh Mom?!) haha
6 Achievements
- 2 Failures
= A PRETTY SUCCESSFUL DAY! :)

On a random note, I forgot to post these pictures a while ago but here are some pictures of me and Nibbles. Nibbles was in the hood part of the hoodie that I was wearing and she absolutely loved it! I walked around for at least 15 minutes with her in there! She looked so cute!

By the way, Happy March already! Where has all the time gone?

Confusion

Last night I was rummaging through a box of old papers and things. I found a lot of random stuff that I forgot about and laughed at. For example I found some papers from when I was in kindergarten and first grade, and the random things I wrote just made me laugh! I also found some poems and stories that I have written across my 18 years and thought it would be cool if I shared some instead of keeping them all to myself. This poem that you are about to read is one of favorites that I wrote, I think, in 8th or 9th grade. It's kind of silly but also kind of true....

Titled: Confusion

Tornadoes are natures destroying
Funnel. They are windy and
Out of control. Though they
Are nature, sometimes
They're in my mind.
Like when big
Words be-
wilder
Me

Top 5 Things That Fill Me With Happiness

(not in any specific order)

1. My wonderful cats, Nemo & Nibbles. Every time I look at them I can't help but smile because they are such wonderful creatures. They look at me with their big eyes and I know that they need and love me. They do silly things to make me laugh and they sometimes can be a helping hand when I'm feeling blue. I love them so much!
Nemo & Nibbles
2. Sebastian, of course! He is absolutely wonderful and so amazing that I can't even describe the complete happiness he brings me in words. I believe the thing that makes me the most happy when I am with him (besides the fact that he loves me so much!), is the fact that we can talk about anything. I love knowing that when ever I have a problem or he has a  problem that we can go to each other. And after talking to him about whatever, I usually feel so happy by just knowing that we can share our concerns or wonders.
Our love in chocolate form :)
He sits on me when times are hard... lol

3. Making my family proud. I feel the most happy when I do something that makes my family proud of me such as, graduating high school or offering to lend a hand. I know that my family is proud of me by being the person who I am today and that fills me with utmost happiness.
My irreplaceable family :) The only people missing are my Grammy and Paapa, but I know I will see them again one day.

4. God's Love. Knowing God loves and forgives so much, fills me with happiness and complete joy. Because of His love for us, His creations, we will one day get to live for eternity with our loved ones. Because of His love, we will one day get to live without sickness, without fear, and without any of these earthly bothers we have now. Because of His love we will one day live in peace and harmony. And for that, I am eternally happy and grateful.

5. The beauty of nature. When I am hiking in the woods or taking a walk, whether it be alone or with a friend, I am always taken aback by the beautiful of the world outside that most people only pass by. I am filled with happiness when I look at the beauty of the tall trees and when I see the forest animals scurrying along. Nature brings me happiness because of the peace and serenity I feel when being in it.

"We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have." -Frederick Keonig
